How to Apply FG-509X Series Dry Film Mold Release Agent
Simple 4-Step Application
1. Clean the Mold
Clean the mold surface thoroughly, ensuring it is free from oil, dust, and contaminants for maximum coating efficiency
2. Apply the Coating
Once the mold is clean and dry, apply the coating to the surface (multiple coats recommended for the first-time application)
3. Air Dry (Approx. 2 Hours)
After application, allow the mold to air dry at room temperature for approximately 2 hours to let the coating set
4. Ready for Production
Once completely dry, the mold is ready for immediate production. Parts will release effortlessly
FAQ
Standard silicone sprays leave oily residues, which can interfere with subsequent painting or screen printing. However, FG-509X uses Fluorine Dry Film technology, which dries completely upon application. It ensures easy part release and is 100% oil-free.
The main difference lies in their "Max Operating Temperature" capabilities. If your mold operates below 200°C, the FG-5093 is sufficient. For high-temperature molds, we recommend FG-5095, which withstands up to 250°C.
